Format of the School
About 40 lectures, each one hour, will be presented in English.The time table of the School will be posted here.
Participation
The Course is mainly a Graduate School aimed primarly at theoretical physicists and post-graduate students interested in broadening their knowledge of the field.Scholarships
A limited number of Scholarships is availabe for South African students in financial need. Based on academic merit and financial need a subsidy of the shared accommodation costs and the school costs will be awarded on application. In order to be considered for financial support, a student must
- register and apply before November 20, 2006;
- arrange an email letter from his/her supervisor before November 17, 2006 to petruccione@ukzn.ac.za with the following details
- Subject heading: Name of student - application for financial support,
- attestation of academic merit
- motivation for participation in the Summer School
- statement of what additional funds have been sourced and why the entire cost the School cannot be covered by the supervisor and/or institution.
Applicants will be informed by December 1, 2006 if their application was successful.
Transport:
Participants arrange transport to the Salt Rock Hotel by themselves. On request the Hotel can provide transport from the Durban Airport to the Hotel.Costs

The Registration/Accommodation Costs include:
- Opening ceremony, drinks and snacks
- Attendance of all academic sessions

NOTE: The meal service starts on Sunday 14 January 2007 with dinner and ends on Wednesday 24 January 2007 with lunch.
