A superconducting magnetometer enhanced by quantum error correction

Abstract: In standard quantum sensing the resolution is ultimately limited by the lifetime of the probe. Dynamical decoupling and qubit engineering can be used to lengthen this lifetime to its relaxation limit, but not beyond. In order to surpass this fundamental limit, we incorporate techniques from quantum error correction into the sensing procedure. I will explain how to achieve this in the context of a superconducting architecture.
