Dr. David Herrera-Marti: Lecture Series on Superconducting Qubits (4) – Introduction to Circuit Quantum Electrodynamics (cQED)
The Centre for Quantum Technology invites you to a lecture series on:
SUPERCONDUCTING QUBITS
Dr. David Herrera-Marti
Institut Néel, Grenoble, France
Abstract: This series of four lectures is aimed at preparing students and researchers with no background in superconducting circuits to understand the basic concepts and apply techniques in this rapidly growing area of quantum research. It consists of: (1) An overview of superconductivity, (2) A method/prescription to describe superconducting circuits, (3) A review of decoherence mechanisms affecting superconducting qubits and (4) Techniques in circuit-QED, the interaction between superconducting qubits and microwave photons. After each lecture, a short exercise will be given to be solved for the next day.
